Nanban Update

Jun 17, 2011 Vijay, Jiiva, and Ileana are currently shooting for Nanban in Chennai. They are scheduled to work in the city for another week and then the next leg of the shoot will commence. Director Shankar intends to shoot the songs next. Word is that the unit will fly to Spain to shoot the songs in some of the country's hot spots. Shankar has modified the script to suit Tamil sensibilities, so those who have already seen 3 Idiots will find a few surprises. Nanban is slotted for a Diwali release and it is hoped that work will be wrapped up by then. Insiders have said that Vijay's performance in this film is simply superb as he has slipped into his character completely. Also, he is looking fitter and fresher than ever. The other surprise package is supposed to be Sathyaraj and the buzz is this film will be yet another milestone in his career.

Ajith moves on!

May 31, 2011 Billa 2 will go on floors on June 20th, 2011! The shooting is all set to begin on the said date in Hyderabad. By this date, Ajith would have completed his commitments in Mankatha and will be ready to move on. Billa 2 will be the prequel to Billa, which was released in 2007. The was initially in the hands of director Vishnuvardhan but later it went to Chakri Toleti, the man who directed Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal in Unnai Pol Oruvan. Yuvan Shankar Raja has been signed up to compose music for Billa 2 and he has completed composing a couple of songs already.

The lucky lady is none other than Dheeksha Seth, who has notched up two massive hits in Telugu. The former model is making a foray into Tamil cinema as well with Vettai Mannan opposite Simbhu and Vendhan with Vikram. She also has two Telugu films in her kitty with Prabhas and Ravi Teja.
